 Introduction

Your computer has been invaded! Dozens of little viruses are pouring in via security holes in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft MSN Messenger and Microsoft Recycle Bin!! Using your trusty mouse you must shoot the buggers before they can destroy your files! Some will steal them from their home directories and take them back to their security hole. Others will just eat them right there on the spot! See how long you and your computer can survive the onslaught!

 News and Updates

21st May 2005 - Virus Killer V1.0 is finally available. This verison has only minor changes - Some bug fixes, a new directory is no longer awarded (to limit the length of the game) and new OS backgrounds are shown. Also the game no longer relies on ZZipLib.

22nd February 2004 - Virus Killer V0.9 has been uploaded. There should now be support for other platforms in the code, so get in touch if you successfully create a port, or even if you can't!

 FAQ

I don't like the idea of this program scanning my home directory. Is there any other way I can play the game?
Yes. Start the game with the -safemode option. The file and directory list will then be built from the defined temporary directory (default is /tmp on Linux)
