 | Resident Evil 4 | Capcom reinvent Survival Horror in probably the best PS2 game you will ever play. |
 | MK: Shaolin Monks | Pretty fun in places, shame Midway still don't know their own story. In 2 player mode, Shao Khan
also suffers from a case of SNK Boss Syndrome. |
 | Viewtiful Joe 2 | Henshin a so-so, baby. Silvia really doesn't add anything to the sequel. |
 | Shinobi | Poor camera and controls made this unplayable. |
 | Viewtiful Joe | Henshin a go-go, baby! |
 | Destroy All Humans! | It's OK. Would have been better if the whole game was more like the final section.
Let's see how the TV show turns out... |
 | Freedom Fighters | I actually just found this a bit annoying to play. Returned. |
 | Haunting Ground | Interesting twist on the survival horror since there are only a handful of
enemies. And Fiona really is a precious, precious little princess. |
 | Arc the Lad - Twlight of the Spirits | "I'll never give up!" - Yeah, but I did. |
 | God Of War | The game Devil May Cry wishes it was... |
 | Killzone | Had it not been hyped up so much it may have been better received since this is probably one
of the best FPSs on the PS2. |
 | Fallout : Brotherhood of Steel | Quite dull and a bit buggy. Probably hopeless in single player mode. Also
the dialog seems to have been written by 12 year olds, for 12 year olds. |
 | Timesplitters 3 | Plays like the previous TS games but with some great added wit. |
 | Lego Star Wars | The only bad thing about this game is that it is far too easy. Otherwise it is great fun,
especially in two player mode. |
 | Devil May Cry 3 | This says it all
[Click link] |
 | Hyper Street Fighter 2 | Even on the easiest difficulty the computer's
cheapness has to be seen to be believed. The lack of Street Fighter 3 in the PAL edition
is very disappointing aswell. Still good for a laugh though. |
 | Ratchet and Clank 3 | More of the same really, except the humour in
this one is the best in the series so far. Oh, the levels, weapons and gameplay are also
top notch! |
 | Shadow of Rome | Heavily inspired by the entire plot line of Gladitor
(even evident in some of the dialog!) this game is simply excellent. Hopefully Capcom
will franchise this like the Onimusha series. |
 | Prince of Persia : Warrior Within | Lacks the charm of the original, features
poor combat, bad camera angles, an annoying prince, a dreadful soundtrack and very little
to actually recommend it! |
 | Psi Ops | Full of original ideas, well implemented gameplay and overall
good fun to play! |
 | Metal Gear Solid 3 | There simply wasn't anything here to hold my
interest in this game for long. I preferred MGS1 and MGS2. One for die hard fans only. |
 | Mecenaries | After the initial blow-everything-to-living-hell fun is over you are
actually left with a pretty average game, one that is quite difficult to really get stuck into. |
 | Jak 3 | After playing the hideous marriage of Grand Theft Auto, Ratchet and Clank, and
Jak and Daxter that was Jak 2, I didn't have very high hopes for this one. Luckly I was wrong. |
 | Dredd Vs Death | A decent Judge Dredd game for once. Not sure how well it actually sold
but it's worth a purchase. Dredd's voice is spot on also. |
 | Zone of the Enders 2 | UK Special Edition, huh? That basically translates as 'we made
the game a lot harder'. Had to play it on Easy mode to actually get a realistic difficulty, still
one of the best (if not the best) mech games out there. |
 | Star Trek : Shattered Universe | This. Is. A. Bad. Game. |
 | Second Sight | A nice psi game with good plot twists, puzzles and a decent difficulty
setting. Still wondering how Midway and Free Radical came up with a Psi game at the same time... |
 | Ghost Recon 2 | Probably one of the most boring games I've ever played. Only kept
it for two days before I returned it. |
 | Mortal Kombat : Deadly Alliance | So so. The only distinguishing feature is the fatalities.
Once you get past them you are left with a rather average fighting game. |
 | R-Type Final | Kill everything that moves using 101 different ships. A
fantastic last outing for Irem's brilliant shoot-em-up. |
 | Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas | Another great GTA game. Perhaps a little bit
too much to do this time around. Think I managed about 80% completion though. |
 | Ghost Hunter | I don't think it scored too well in reviews or sold well
but this was an enjoyable game by all accounts. |
 | Legacy of Kain : Defiance | After the dire Soul Reaver 2 this was a vast
improvement, although still not a patch on Soul Reaver 1 and still had its flaws. |
 | Dark Chronicle | The game that Dark Cloud should have been. |
 | Jak 2 | Naughty Dog were apparently not content with providing another AAA Jak and
Daxter game. They decided instead to cash in on the free roaming of GTA and the results were... bad. |
 | Prince of Persia : Sands of Time | Probably one of the best updates to a classic
game you will ever play. |
 | Ratchet and Clank : Going Commando | Mostly the same as the first, but with
new weapons, the edition of armour and more crazy gadgets. Excellent. |
 | Warhammer 40,000 : Fire Warrior | The obsession with cloning Halo continues with
Fire Warrior. However they also decided to throw in cheesy voice acting and badly realised levels
and 'squad' battles. Oh... and a trip to Hell. |
 | Final Fantasy X-2 | It's Final Fantasy. 'Nuff said. |
 | Transformers | "I was up till 4am trying to beat Tidal Wave..." - A truely
awesome game. |
 | Onimusha 3 | After two excellent games Capcom give us the (apparently) final
part of the trilogy. And it's excellent. |
 | Devil May Cry 2 | I wasn't a huge fan of the first game but it certainly didn't
deserve a sequel like this! |
 | Silent Hill 3 | Maybe it was because of the brilliant Silent Hill 2 but I
just simply wasn't interested in this. It felt like it had all been done before, only better. |
 | Baulder's Gate 2 | After the excellent first game how the hell did they manage
to screw up so badly?! |
 | Broken Sword 3 | Hideous load times, some pathetic 'sneaking' bits and voice
acting that would often run into each other all contributed to a very painful play experience.
I never finished it. |
 | Buffy : Chaos Bleeds | This could have been a good game but the combat and
puzzle system let it down far too much. |
 | Burnout 3 : Takedown | Like it's predecessor, worth the price for the
Crash Mode alone. |
 | Red Faction 2 | Red Faction Poo more like (yes, I know that's a cliche...) |
